This mechanism is designed for project leaders wishing to convert Kasbahs into charming tourist accommodation establishments in the different regions or to develop IGAs (Income Generating Activities) in the immediate environment of the Kasbahs.

Financial incentives for upgrading touristic accommodation institutions (EHT- TAI)

As part of the emergency plan launched by the Government to support the revival of the Tourism sector, financial support from the State has been put in place, through the SMIT, for an overall amount of one billion dirhams. The objective of this aid is to support the investment effort of hotels wishing to upgrade their entities and ensure a fast restart of their activities

State support includes all categories of touristic institutions ranging from 5 stars to classified accommodations. within the meaning of the regulations in force. It consists of the granting of a subsidy aimed at improving the quality of the offer and the quality of the services offered. The subsidy is granted up to a maximum of 10% of the income achieved by the concerned establishment in 2019, capped at 10 Million Dirhams.

The overall budget dedicated to the State to support touristic institutions is one billion dirhams, 80% of itis dedicated to improving the quality of supply and 20% is dedicated to improving the quality of service

Financial incentives to improve the competitiveness of touristic SMEs (small and medium enterprises)

The SMIT has initiated a mechanism to boost entrepreneurship in the touristic SMEs and support them in improving their competitiveness both in the creation and growth phases.
This mechanism aims to support SMEs in the context of carrying tourism projects or activities.

Financial incentives to develop beach hotel projects

To support hotel investors in the construction of seaside resorts units, an incentive mechanism has been put in place to reduce the impact of the land on the cost of the investment by subsidizing half the cost of the land within the limit of 250 Dhs /m².
Hotel projects located in a seaside resort (Saidia, Lixus, Mazagan, Taghazout, Tamouda bay), benefit from this subsidy
